Catherine M. Howard

Catherine (Link) Howard, 99, passed away on Sunday March 19 at Gluco Lodge, Stroudsburg. Catherine was born in Long Island City, NY on January 2, 1918 to Thomas and Mary (Boyle) Link. She grew up in Garden City, LI NY. She lived most of her life in Bellerose LI, NY, Yorktown Heights NY and most recently in East Stroudsburg PA. She was married to Harold “Happy” Howard who predeceased her in 1975. She worked as a Customer Service Rep for New York Telephone Co. (now Verizon) for 30 years. She was of the Roman Catholic Faith. Catherine was an avid fan of the NY Mets and the NY Jets Catherine is survived by her daughter Patricia Christmann of Cresco, her son Thomas Howard and his wife Karen of Palm Bay FL. Catherine “Granny” is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Adam Christmann and his wife Cindy of Canadensis, Samantha Stirk of Naugatuck CT., Scott Howard and Kimberly Farranaccio and her husband Christopher of Red Hook, NY. Granny is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; Emma and Abby Christmann of Canadensis, Robert and Cindy Stirk of Naugatuck CT., Addison and Lindsey Farranaccio of Red Hook NY.
