Carrie J. Walck

Carrie J. Walck, 89, of Middle Smithfield Township, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday December 22, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John S. Walck, who died on July 5, 2002. Born May 6, 1932 in East Stroudsburg the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Cora (Weidner) Seese. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Carrie was a strong, loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed reading, watching NCIS, gardening, and feeding and watching her beloved hummingbirds. But, her greatest love was spending time with her family. Carrie is lovingly survived by her 11 children: Sherry Torrey (Bill) Brenda Guarrasi (Joe) Steve Walck (Peggy) Craig Walck (Deb) Barbara Walck Tom Walck (Sherry) Bill Walck John Walck Linda Moffitt Mike Walck (Debbie) Jennifer Walck 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her much loved fur baby Parker. Predeceased by husband, parents, also sisters, Hazel Shamp, Anna Smith, brothers Charles and Richard. Due to COVID, private family services will be at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Adam Reinhardt officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. A celebration of Carrie’s amazing life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers throughout the past 3 years who helped her live her life to the fullest and became part of our family.
