Carl R Strawbridge, 71 of Bartonsville passed away on January 1.2023 while under St. Luke's Hospice care at home. Born July 23, 1951, in Bethlehem, PA. He was the soulmate of Cathy J (Sargent) Strawbridge with whom they shared 44 loving and funny years. People would say when you see one you see the other.

Carl was the son of Harold and Ruth (Wehr) Strawbridge and foster child of Warren and Theresa Ryerson.

Carl worked at Trumatic Machine and Tool Co Delaware Metal Products, Banner Metal. He was known in the Stroudsburg area of his expertise on running turret presses and CNC Machines. He also worked at Snydersville Golf and Driving Range. He retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot and after retirement was a cafeteria monitor at MCTI (Monroe County Technical Institute)

He is survived by his devoted wife Cathy, daughter Stacy (Keith) Dickerson, grandson Caleb Dickerson. Son Wayne (Jenna Russ, fiancée) Strawbridge and her children, granddaughter Gabriella Custred and grandson Hunter Custred..

Brother-in-law, Frank P Sargent (Alison Traugott), special nephews Ryan and Noah Sargent and Ryan Traugott. Siblings: Albert (Linda) Strawbridge, Marlin (Debbie) Bozes, Melissa (Jeff) Friday, James

(Andrea) Strawbridge, C. Max Hippler his brother from another mother. Aunt Elaine Peter and several nieces and nephews.

Foster Siblings: Dorothy Barthlomew. Shirley Hess. George Ryerson, Sandy (Warren)

Ryerson, Dorthea (Donald) Ryerson and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, sister Elizabeth Strawbridge, sister-in-law Debbie (Marlin) Bozes, foster brothers, Warren and Donald Ryerson.

Carl loved to play golf with his son Wayne and deceased father-in-law Frank Sargent. He could fix anything and enjoyed passing on his knowledge to his children, Stacy and Wayne.

Carl was also a great storyteller and master of good, bad, dirty and dad jokes. When Carlwas around you were sure to laugh.


He will be missed by his devoted feline, Nanny Faith who never left his side, special neighbors and friends.

As per his request there will be no services.

May Carl enjoy his endless golfing days in heaven. In his memory, please tell a joke or two (good or bad) and laugh every day.
