Carl Anthony “Butch” Capone, 86, son of Phillip P Capone and Nettie A. Capone, formerly of Stroudsburg, passed away on Thursday February 22, 2024. He was predeceased in death by his wife Mary E. Capone.
He worked as G.H. Litts for most of his life and well as a number of years in law enforcement.
Tony is best known for his work with the juvenile justice system helping kids at risk to rehabilitate and become successful in their lives.
He was passionate about drag racing, winning many trophies by beating multiple contenders.
He is survived by his 9 children and their families, including, Samuel Capone and his wife Debra, Teresa Alloto and her husband Tony, Philip Capone, Richard Capone, Joseph Capone, Tammy Sengle, Helene O’Keefe, Alicia Wall and her husband Earl, Vinesa Capone and Victor, Victoria and Peter Capone, as well as multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday March 16, 2024, from 12:00pm to 3:00p with Pastor Lynn Lesoine officiating at the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tony’s name to the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg PA 18360
