Brenda Young

Brenda Lee Young, 58,of Allentown formerly of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday January 30 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Bobby A. Young. Born August 29, 1957 in East Stroudsburg, the daughter of the late Clinton Rouck Sr and Madalyn (Strouse) Rouck. She worked as a housekeeper at the Budget Inn, East Stroudsburg and the Best Western, Stroudsburg. Brenda was a member of the Salvation Army, East Stroudsburg, the VFW Post #2540, the CLU Club and enjoyed the Slateford Inn. She is survived by her children William C. Young (Pauline), Bobby A. Young III (Jessica) all of Stroudsburg, Sara Young (Ronald Shipwash) and Loretta Lynn Young (Jose Santiago); and 15 grandchildren. Her siblings Clinton Rouck (Myra) of Gilbert, Ricky Rouck of Stroudsburg, Bessie Tanner (Tim) of Gilbert, Joanne Featherman of Pittsburgh, Ashley Leskowsky of NC and Debbie Kresge of Wilkes Barre; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Bobby A. Young II, and her siblings, Mary, Jake, Penny and Gerald. Funeral services will be held on Sunday February 7, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Major James Gingrich officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Stroudsburg Cemetery.
