Brenda Lyn Pomroy

Brenda Lyn Pomroy, of Middle Smithfield Township passed away Thursday, July 6 2023

surrounded by her loving family at the Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Hospice House in

East Stroudsburg.

Brenda was born on August 2, 1968 in Camden, NJ. She was the daughter of Walter H.

Pomroy and Elva Stay Pomroy of Bangor, PA. She and her partner, Michael Kingston,

spent over 10 years together. She grew up in Stewartsville, NJ and she graduated from

Phillipsburg High School. Growing up, she was involved in many activities including 4H

Saddle-up-club, where her love of animals shone through. Brenda enjoyed riding

horses, especially her horse Sunny, whom she competed in barrel racing with at the

Warren County Farmers Fair. Brenda moved to Pennsylvania where she worked in office

administration and then in the activities departments in nursing homes and finally in

home health care. She loved working with seniors and was proud to make a difference

in peoples’ lives. She loved her two dogs Polly and Barley, taking care of her gardens

outside, and watching all the different animals that passed through her front yard.

In addition to her partner Michael Kingston, Brenda is survived by a large, loving family.

Including her daughter Melissa Seward, son-in-law Robert Seward, and granddaughter

Everlay Grace Seward. Michael’s children, Allison Tulanowski and her husband Eric of

Morgantown, WV and Michael S. Kingston III, his wife Jessica, and daughter, Wednesday

of Fairmont, WV, her parents, Walt and Elva Pomroy, her sisters Deborah Pomroy and

Gwen Pomroy, her niece Tiffany Pomroy and nephews Alexander Corrado and Nathaniel

Gruenberg.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th

Street, Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda would ask that donations in her name be made to The Pocono

Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center in Stroudsburg, PA at
