Bonnie L. Derrick

Bonnie L. Derrick 64 of Reeders, passed away sunday june 6, 2021 at home under hospice care after a 2 1/2 year battle with metastatic breast cancer, by her family. Bonnie was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on January 30, 1957 to Paul R. Drury Sr. and Marion L. (Johnson) Drury. She was a graduate of Pocono Mountain High school in 1975. Worked at a variety of jobs in her lifetime and made some lifelong friends whom she kept in touch with. Enjoyed playing games, cards and badminton with her family, collecting a variety of knick knacks but loved her pandas. Bonnie is survived by her son Clifford H. Oppelt and his fiance Michelle Simpson of Reeders, Grand daughters Cassandra Emily Oppelt and Madison Leah Oppelt. Her siblings; June Hallett and fiance Britton (skip) Detrick of Reeders, Paul Drury Jr of Colorado, Barbara Drury of Reeders, Jeanne Drury of Texas, Jere Drury and wife Lisa of Reeders, her favorite niece Rachele Gaun and her husband Damon, and their son Ethan, her beloved cat ebony, many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Michael E. Derrick in 2013. Whom she shared over 30 years of life with. Bonnie was a past member of the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire co auxiliary A memorial service will be held on saturday August 7, 2021 at the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co, On Route 715 in Reeders at 2 pm.
