Betty Ann Dickison

Betty Ann Dickison, of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 27, 2022, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice House, East Stroudsburg. She was the widow of James Edward Dickison, who died in February of 1993, they were married for 26 years at the time of his passing

Born February 23, 1942, in East Stroudsburg, the daughter of the late Albert V. and Katherine A. (Jasper) Staples. She was a lifetime resident of East Stroudsburg.

She loved to do jigsaw puzzles and hiking the Appalachian Mountain.

Betty loved animals, devoted her life to her children, she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty was a dedicated and hard worker and worked in the laundry at the Pocono Medical Center for many many years until she retired.

She is survived by her son Reverend Steven Dickison and his wife Kenlynn of Bushkill, her daughter Stephanie Centeleghe and her husband Mike of Friedersburg, and Linda Dickison of East Stroudsburg, and her sister Katherine Kitchen.

She is also survived by her grandson Steven Ehrman Jr. of Bushkill, granddaughters Amanda Rosa of Bangor, Tiffani Dickison of Bushkill, and Anne Centeleghe of Friedensburg; her great grandchildren Damien, Ben, Carmine and Paisley.

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her grandson Shawn S. Centeleghe, her daughter Susan and her brother Harry.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday January 5, 2023, from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Refiner’s Fire Ministry, 100 Division Street, Portland, Pennsylvania 18352.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.
