Bertil Roos

Bertil Roos, 72, of Blakeslee, passed away on Thursday March 31, 2016 at the Pocono Medical Center. He was the husband of Barbara Summers. Born October 12, 1943 in Gothenburg, Sweden, the son of the late Godfried and Karla (Beckmark) Roos. He was a resident of Monroe County since 1973. He was the founder, owner and operator of the Bertil Roos School of Racing in Long Pond. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Helene’ and Catarina Roos of Sweden, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a sister Barbara Hodgeson of England. He was predeceased by his brother Leif As per Bertil’s wishes, there will be no public services The Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street Stroudsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
