Angel Luis Sotomayor, Sr.
September 13, 1950 — October 30, 2024
Angel Luis Sotomayor, Sr., 74, of Bushkill, went to be with the Lord on October 30th, 2024 at his home. He was the husband of Leslie C. Sotomayor (Puente) for 49 years.
Angel Luis was born September 13, 1950 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. The son of Angel Sotomayor and Elba Sotomayor (Rivera), Angel moved to New Jersey when he was 13. He came to know Jesus as his Savior in New Haven, Connecticut at 19. He lived in the Bushkill area for over 30 years with his wife and children. He worked to evangelize the Pocono area by pastoring Iglesia Pentecostal La Gran Comision for over 20 years.
Angel enjoyed being outside and active in the country raising animals, chopping wood and walking.
In addition to his wife, Angel is survived by his two children, daughter Leslie C. Sotomayor and son Angel Luis Sotomayor, Jr. and his wife Susanna; his nine grandchildren Christina and her husband Dante Dawson, Sterling, Emmalene, Avielle, Judah, Miles, Julianna, Caleb, and Sophia; and his two great-grandchildren, Carmen and Camila Dawson.
Viewing on Saturday, November 9th 2-5pm at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th St, Stroudsburg, Pa. Memorial Service will be on Sunday November 10th at 8am at Iglesia Pentecostal La Gran Comision, 3432 Route 715, Henryville, Pa.
