Alice Marie Tarantino

Alice Marie Schmitt Tarantino, 92, of Pocono Summit passed away on Wednesday May 20, 2026, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice House, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late John Tarantino who died on February 16, 2025, they were married for 70 years at the time of his passing.

Born March 29, 1934, in Totowa Boro, the daughter of the late Emil and Sadie (Leonard)Schmitt.

Alice was a graduate of Memorial School, Totowa Boro, New Jersey and Passaic Valley High School, Little Falls, New Jersey.

While residing in northern New Jersey, Alice worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company, Franklin Bank and Great Falls Bank.

She is survived by her daughter Joanne Keeler and her husband Keith of Pocono Summit, her daughter in law Cyndi Tarantino, her 5 beautiful grandchildren Lauren Michelle Keeler, Shannon Marie Cotton, Chelsea Lynn Keeler, Tamara Demi Ventimiglia and Michael John Tarantino, and 2 great grandchildren Sparrow and Loch Cotton.

Alice was predeceased by her son Michael John Tarantino.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday May 26, 2026, from 3:00pm until the time of a memorial service at 4:30pm at the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, with Father Tarantino officiating.
