A. Patricia Maioriello

A. Patricia (Pat) Maioriello passed away at her home on September 5, 2025. Pat was born on October 15, 1934, in Staten Island, New York to William Hamer and Gladys (VanAuken) Hamer. She was the youngest of five daughters.

Pat grew up in East Stroudsburg and attended East Stroudsburg High School. After having five children of her own she went back to college, earning a bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg State College. Pat went on to teach elementary school for 25 years in White Township, New Jersey.

Pat is survived by four children: William Maioriello, Wendi Maioriello and Daniel Maioriello, all of East Stroudsburg and Suzann Samet of Petaluma, California. She was predeceased by her son Guy Maioriello of Bethlehem. She was Nonna to seven grandchildren: Melissa Waldron of Bethlehem; Giavanna, Octavio and Joss Maioriello of Stroudsburg; Austen Samet-Brown of Ralston, Wyoming; Matthew Samet of Rohnert Park, California; Mark Samet of Bend, Oregon. She had six great grandchildren: Jude, Ophelia, Levon and Corrina Waldron; Bjorn Brown and Makena Samet. She is also survived by one sister, Carol Weidman of Bethlehem.

As per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services at this time. The Bensing Thomas Funeral Home is handling her arrangements
