Norman Gerard Ziesse, 81, of Scotrun, passed away on Thursday, September 19, at Pleasant Valley Manor following an extended illness. He was born on July 16, 1943, in Camden, NJ, to the late Gerard F. Ziesse and Clara M. Krause. He grew up in Woodlynne, NJ and graduated from Collingswood High School in 1961. Norm graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA in 1970 with a PhD. in Electrical Engineering.
Norm worked for Bell Labs in the development of anti-ballistic missile systems and retired working on cellular phones and antennas. He then worked as a consultant for several companies, finally retiring from Intel at age 76. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Kathleen (Moore), son Raymond (Michelle), daughter Karen (Kevin) McClarren, grandchildren Tyler and Jordan Ziesse, Ashlynn and Gattlin McClarren, step-grandchildren Brooke (Tim Lenz) and Harrison (Kelly) McClarren, brother Douglas (Debbie) Ziesse, sister-in-law Cindy (the late Bob) Moore, brother-in-law Thomas (Muffie) Moore, sister-in-law Mary Ann (Bob) Dispenza, nieces, nephews and their children. He will be forever missed and always remembered.
