Obituary for Edward Arthur Heimbach

Edward Arthur Heimbach, 85, of Stroud Township, passed away on Friday October 18, 2019, at his home. 
He was the husband of the late Patricia. P.( Parker )  Heimbach. They had shared 50 years of marriage at the time of her death.
 He was born May 14, 1934, in Allentown, the son of the late Edward P and Marguerite (Haas) Heimbach.
 He was a proud Veteran, attaining the rank of staff sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.
Edward was a graduate of William Allen High school, Allentown, Pa. And a graduate of East Stroudsburg Teachers College.
  Edward taught at East Stroudsburg High School And Nazareth High School, and Coached Junior Varsity Football at both.
The major portion of his teaching career was spent at Keystone Job Corps, in Hazleton Pa, where he served as Director of Education and Training, He retired from that position in 1996.
Edward was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Stroudsburg, where he was a member of the Vestry.
 Edward also had a long history with the Boy Scouts of America, He was camp director at Resica Falls Scout Reservation in Marshalls Creek, and founded BSA Troop 79 of Stroudsburg. 
Edward was a member of the Monroe County Marine Corps League, and a member of B.PO.E.  Elks, Lodge 319  East Stroudsburg.
He was an avid flyfisherman, outdoors enthusiast, and ran a photography studio for over 60 years.
 Edward is survived by his son Edward J. Heimbach and his wife Ruth Wingert of  Saylorsburg, his daughter Bethanne L Kralik of Stroudsburg; his grandchildren Veronica Heimbach, Edward Alden Heimbach,of Saylorsburg, and Emily Heimbach, of Bethlehem and Aaron Kralick of Coaldale.
 He was predeceased by his son Daniel Heimbach.
 Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.  There will be no viewing.
