Cheryl Steimer

Cheryl Steimer 62, of East Stroudsburg passed away on February 11th, 2024, surrounded by

her loving family. Cheryl was born on July 19th, 1961 in Philadelphia to the late Henry (Hank)

and Joanne (Kieffer) Bowman. Her family relocated to East Stroudsburg in 1971, where she

would go on to complete her education through the East Stroudsburg School District and

graduated in the class of 1979.

Cheryl spent most of her life employed by the East Stroudsburg School District as a bus driver,

which she retired from in 2019. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with family, reading the newest

Danielle Steele book, and sun bathing in her pool.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 37 years, Roy Steimer, daughter Sara Halterman and her

husband Dan, son Steven and two grandchildren who she adored, Jocelyn and Holden

Halterman. Brother, Robert Bowman, sisters Christine Caroll, Cindi Copeland (Greg) and

Barbara Bowman, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by a brother Franklin Bowman and her parents.
