Brian H. Bensley, 72, of Walnutport, formerly of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday September 18, 2021 at his home. He was the husband of Sandra “Sonji” (Argot) Bensley, married for 49 years. Born May 31, 1949 in Port Jervis, New York, the son of the late Joseph R. and Marian (Suderly) Bensley. He was a graduate of Delaware Valley High School, Milford, PA, and attended Penn-Wesleyan College in Allentown, PA. In 1970 and 1971 while attending Penn-Wesleyan College, he Pastored the Analomink/Cherry Lane Circuit of the United Methodist Church. Brian attended Bethany Wesleyan Church in Palmerton. He worked at Edward R. Lawson & Weikel Buick for 20 years until they closed in 2005, then for Brown - Daub Chevrolet in Nazareth, and DG Nicholas in Tannersville before retiring and moving to Walnutport. He loved weekending in Vermont or Lancaster, PA, taking long walks on sandy beaches and working in his yard so that it was always well manicured. He loved trains and classic cars. He was predeceased by both sons, Andrew M. Bensley , 1977- 2007 and Aaron M. Bensley 1981-2020. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his grandson, Aidan R. Bensley brother in law Robert Argot and sister in law Adele Argot of Myerstown, PA. Nephews, The Reverend Robert Argot, his wife Tina and their family of Bernville, PA; Dr Ryan Argot, his wife Kellie and their family of Mechanicsburg, PA: 5 cousins and their families. Burial will be in the Stroudsburg Cemetery with his sons. At Brian’s request, there will be no services. The Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
