Obituary for Bonnie Sue Thompson

Bonnie Sue Thompson went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2020 in East Stroudsburg, PA after a 7-month battle with brain cancer. She was 55 years old.
Born on June 10, 1964 to Henry Lee Thompson and Barbara Jean Zurcher Thompson, missionaries who served in Brazil. Bonnie lived in Brazil 18 years before attending Tennessee Temple University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education/Art. She spent most of her adult life in Chattanooga, TN but also lived in Miami, FL and East Stroudsburg, PA. She worked at Olan Mills, Precept Ministries, Grace Baptist Academy and Tri-Dim. Bonnie enjoyed serving the Lord wherever she lived and especially loved teaching Sunday School, leading Bible studies. She was a member at Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN and Calvary Bible Church in East Stroudsburg, PA.
She will be remembered for being a wonderful aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She loved spending time with them, going to their games, concerts, and activities. She always loved trying to interest them in her passions in both art and genealogy. She was witty, compassionate, and always depending on the Lord for her every need. She had a very strong faith. Her testimony, especially in her time of illness, was of great encouragement to the family and caretakers.
Survived by her parents Lee and Barbara Thompson, her brother Philip Thompson and his wife Tammy of Chattanooga TN, her sister Pauline Meeker and her husband Mark of Forest Hill MD, her sister Cynthia DeLorme and her husband Keith of East Stroudsburg, PA, and all her nieces and nephews Kyle, Riley, Sydney, Brianna, Stephen, Victoria, Andrew, Phillip, Mathew, Timothy, Sophie Grace, and Christian.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers at both Spring Village and Compassionate Care for helping the family care for Bonnie.
All are invited to celebrate Bonnies life in a Memorial Service
